Our production, set under a tent in the Catskills, sought to place Julius Caesar and its bloodthirsty meditations on power struggle and what motivates a violent thirst for power, in a contemporary context. A white panelled wall with torch-like flourescent lights and a black gloss thrust stage were set against black dirt and the void of the forest around the tent, implicating the audience as the public masses.
